Yiannis Kastritsis
He was born and grew up in Daphne, Evritania Greece in 1960. He studied Painting at the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He received his degree with distinction and continued my studies at the Department of Brooklyn college of New York from 1990 until 1993 with specialization in Painting. He has been teaching at school of Fine and applied Arts in University of Western Macedonia as an assistant professor. He has done 14 solo exhibitions and he has taken part in group exhibitions. The books of his personal works “The World of Things” (in Greek-English) and “In the great pit” (in Greek-English),"The man and his shadow" (in Greek) ," Cezanne's doubt" (in Greek),"Ιnterpretation of Lives" (in Greek) , "The donation of the landscape" are released by Futura Publishing Company. Alongside painting he has dealt with photography and woodcarving.
