Christos Kechagioglou
Christos Kechagioglou was born in Thessaloniki in 1960. He paints systematically from 1978, up to this day. He studied engineering at Polytechnic University of Thessaloniki, Film Direction in Athens, and then he made his master studies on Philosophy of Art in Paris. He has worked for 20 years as an art director and director of film and commercial. His experimental movies and video artworks have been showed in international festivals, museums, and art rooms. He has realized 36 solo shows and he participated in more than 70 group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. During the summer of 2014, the Picture Gallery of Cyclades showed in Syros a complete retrospective exhibition of his work. His paintings can be viewed at galleries, museums and major collections throughout Greece and abroad (National Gallery, Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, Vorres Museum, Vogiatzoglou Gallery and other). There have been published many books, albums, and music productions that include his work (Patakis Publishers, Kedros, En Plo, Kaleidoscope, Kritiki and others).
