Ismini Pachi
Ismini Pachi was born in Lamia, Greece on May 20th 1984. After graduating from the department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens she got an expertise as a Special Education teacher and excelled at conceptual and technical jewelry design in Chalkis Jewellery school-Eric Robbert lead by Akis Goumas.
Since 2014 she has been working as an independent jewelry designer, participating in numerous exhibitions worldwide such as SOFA Chicago, JOYA Barcelona and Athens Jewelry Week. She is currently studying in Estonian Academy of Arts working towards her Master’s degree in Jewellery and Blacksmithing. Her artistic work encompasses psychology and art where these two fields seek a common ground of expression. Her strong interest in human behaviour and the way creativity is affected by the latter, leads the whole artistic process to take a psychotherapeutic path.
Eventually, her artistic work reflects an endoscopic journey.“I strongly believe that the human psyche forms an infinite, volatile and profound source of information that evokes a continuous series of progress to the ones who follow its path faithfully.Through my work, I intend to implement this concept as a part of a developing process in which the art work can change forms through movement but still maintain a stable basis as a reference to its initial point”.
Ismini Pachi has been part of Ragtag Collective since 2012, a four-member team that has worked closely on contemporary jewelry design. Sharing experience and knowledge, participating in various exhibitions has strongly contributed to her personal growth and development of Ragtag Collective as a group.
