Nikolas Bliatkas
Nikolas Bliatkas was born in Naoussa, a small and picturesque town of North Greece in 1962. Ηe studied at the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1986-1991)and he received his degree with distinction. He has worked for 13 years (2002-2015) as an art director of the municipality Art Workshops in Naoussa. . He has realized 18 solo shows and he participated in more than 60 group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. He has participated in many International Symposiums in Greece and abroad, while his works are in public and private collections in Greece and abroad . In 2013 he established Ochra Blue Artspace, a contemporary art gallery in Limnos.
His references to the environment and the methodical way in which he embodies it, constitute an iconographic panorama, which leads to wanderings and journeys of the mind and imagination, fueling feelings of harmony, peace and mental alertness.
Above all, he is a narrator, an artist with faith in the material, in order to create an image that connects the microcosm of nature with the dreamy macrocosm of man.
