Dina Cline
Dina Alexis Cline (b.1988) is an oil painter from Chula Vista, Ca. She was raised in a single-parent home, having lost her father at a very young age. During her teenage years, she moved to Idaho and discovered an affinity for the mountains and climbing. Her works reflected the landscape of the area during this time. She finished her B.A. in Visual Art in 2014 at Boise State University.
Shortly after graduation, Cline spent a few years travelling around the world. She has visited 35+ locales including Tanzania, India, Myanmar, Micronesia, and Malaysia. Most of her work during this time was created in journals, sketched on busses or trains during transit. She has also done a variety of philanthropic work from teaching to raising funding for children’s arts initiatives.
She has been a full-time working artist since 2017. Dina Cline has studied under renowned painter and LivingMaster Virgil Elliott, as well as Kimberly Brooks. She is a Kipaipai Fellow and has her works featured in shows and collections internationally. She currently lives on the North Shore of Maui, Hawaii, and works out of a studio in a 100-year-old pineapple cannery
