Surge is a sculptural table lamp which aims to add a bold design element and a characteristic vibrance in the interior. Inspired by the phenomenon of tidal surge, the lamp embodies a sense of wholeness and fragmentation all at once, through its clean lines and elegant geometry.
With a dynamic, abstract geometric shape, Surge embraces the beauty of the high-quality cast acrylic, which absorbs the light creating a semi-diffuse, misty effect. Surge, can stand on three different sides, allowing variation in the light output depending on the intended use.
The light is emitted in a linear form but it’s only when the viewer changes observation angles that it reveals its dissemination on the semicircular surfaces.
