Ernst Kruijff
Ernst is a Dutch artist creating contemporary art, who is currently living in Germany. For 30 years, he has been exploring various creative areas. In the mid-eighties, he started painting, taking lessons from the well-known Dutch artist Jan de Kok.
He was introduced to painting with tempera to create numerous vibrant painting susing a highly multi-layered. Simultaneously, he entered the art of illustration, designing infographics for educational software ... in the age where every pixel still counted.
In the first half of the nineties, Ernst studied art history at Utrecht University and worked together with Jan de Kok, aiding in the creation of corporate identities that included everything from paper material to art objects and clothing. At the same time, he did art reproduction and some occasional documentary photography. During this period, his work was showcased in several exhibitions in the Netherlands. After his studies, Ernst worked at the faculty of Architecture at Bauhaus University Weimar, teaching students into digital design tools.
