Selene is a circular wall lamp aiming to create a memorable light experience. The object's main form is defined by a reworked aluminium ring, initially salvaged from metal-recycling containers.

Light is diffused through the semi transparent felt sheet creating a subtle and calming glow in the ambience.

Selene is crafted in small batches per demand and is purposed for use in private or public spaces.

With a background in engineering, Stavros Kotsakis is an autodidact light artist and designer who has been running his own lighting design studio named Studio Lampent since 2011. Established in Sweden and currently based in Greece, Studio Lampent is a lighting design studio blurring the line between light art and luminaire design.
