Kinga Sulej lives in a village in central Poland, where she created her label Mimikra.
She studied silversmithing at Wytwornia Antidotum in Warsaw, Poland, and is a member of the Polish silver- and goldsmithing association STFZ and the International Amber Association.
She is inspired by mimicry, a biological phenomenon which occurs when helpless creatures assume threatening shapes to appear dangerous to predators. Karl Blossfeldt’s plant portraits and Haeckel’s intricate drawings are also an endless source of ideas for her designs.
